Connecting your world
BT
The quality of your telephony systems and broadband directly dictates your ability to operate in today’s collaborative environment. The UK’s largest network provider has you covered.
From VoIP and video conferencing to continuous access to the cloud, modern organisations rely entirely on digital infrastructure. Choosing the wrong connectivity leads to issues, such as shared lines causing inconsistent performance and dropped calls, or insufficient network security exposing your valuable data to cyber threats.
A strategic choice of feature-rich and future-proof connectivity options ensures that your operations are always stable, scalable and secure. Coupled with integrated security services directly at the network edge, the only thing you’ll need to worry about is remembering to take yourself off mute on that next call.
The UK's Largest Network Provider
Solving this complex challenge by delivering end-to-end communication solutions for any organisation, BT eliminates the fragmentation of your essential connectivity.
From BTnet dedicated leased lines with 100% target availability SLAs to high-speed fibre BT Business Broadband and BT Cloud Voice for feature-rich and future-proof VoIP, BT allows you to strategically manage your entire digital estate from a single platform.
Taking an integrated approach to your connection to the world ensures that your operation is always stable, scalable and secure.
The Strategic Choice in Connectivity
BT offers a complete connectivity spectrum to ensure your network is perfectly matched to your needs.
BT Business Broadband provides reliable, high-speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) with speeds up to 900Mbps, which is perfect for teams and facilitates superfast upload/download speeds and minimal latency for video calls and streaming.
BTnet is your dedicated leased line, guaranteeing 100% target availability and symmetrical speeds up to 10Gbps – ideal for mission-critical traffic and data-heavy operations.
| Feature | BTnet (Dedicated Access) | BT Business Broadband |
|---|---|---|
| Guaranteed Availability | Backed by a 100% target availability SLA and a guaranteed 5-hour fix time for faults, your connection is never shared (1:1 uncontended service) and ensures super-low latency of 20ms or less. | Offering speeds up to 900Mbps, all plans are backed by a Minimum Speed Guarantee. Pro plans can also benefit from Prompt Care for next working day fixes if you ever need it. |
| Connectivity | The industry standard for critical operations, ideal for businesses running high-density VoIP, large-scale cloud applications, or site-to-site VPNs where downtime is not an option. | Cost-effective solution for smaller offices. While it provides excellent speeds for standard browsing and email, it is a 'best-effort' service subject to local network connection. |
| Proactive Disaster Recovery | Options for a second circuit (Backup, Failover or Load Balancing) with diverse routing that protects your operation against catastrophic failures. | Enhanced and Pro plans include Hybrid Backup, which automatically switches your connection over to 4G if there's a problem, ensuring unbreakable broadband that keeps your users online. |
Work Calls From Anywhere
The traditional copper phone network (PTSN) is being switched off, making the transition to a modern, digital voice platform a priority for every organisation.
BT Cloud Voice is a feature-rich, cloud-based phone system that liberates your operations from hardware constraints and complex infrastructure by providing your calls in and out entirely over your internet connection.
With seamless app integration and scalable call packages, Cloud Voice ensures you remain connected wherever you are, while providing administrators with simple and predictable cost management.
Migration & Longevity
Switching to a digital line ensures you can keep the same number for life, even if your business moves.
Mobility & Management
Use the app to make and receive phone calls on your work number from anywhere and divert calls when needed.
Scalability & Cost
Mix and match the licence to your needs and choose from shared call bundles, unlimited and international packages.
Hardware & Software
Opt for a traditional desk or cordless phone, as well as mobile apps and softphones for calls wherever you are.
Essential Protection Against Modern Threats
BT connects your network perimeter and cloud usage through advanced, integrated solutions like DDoS Mitigation (BT Assure), which automatically detects and mitigates attacks in milliseconds – often before they hit your network.
Meanwhile, Complete Cloud Secure provides comprehensive protection with tiers that safeguard against web threats, secure cloud applications and phishing email filtering for simplified management that reduces your organisation’s administrative overhead.
Unlock the Power of Your Human Firewall
88% of cyber security breaches are caused by human error, yet 7 out of 10 organisations currently don’t invest in cyber awareness. Cyber criminals prey on user ignorance to access valuable data and cause disruption, but proper security training from BT prevents your organisation from being one of their victims.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answered by Sean Mitchell,
BT Business Manager at Getech
When is the final 'Hard Stop' for analogue business lines?
The deadline for the PSTN switch-off has been moved to 31st January 2027. While this extension was granted to protect essential services, there will be no further delays. On this date, any remaining analogue lines and associated numbers will be ceased permanently. To avoid losing your established business identity, you must migrate to a digital service like BT Cloud Voice before this cutoff.
Will my building's alarms, lifts and payment terminals still work?
This is a critical area for business owners. The switch-off affects more than just voice calls; it impacts intruder alarms, fire panels, lift emergency phones and older credit card terminals (PDQs). Because these legacy systems rely on analogue signaling, they may fail once the network goes digital. We recommend an immediate audit of your onsite hardware to ensure compatibility with internet-based connectivity.
Can I move my ISDN2 or ISDN30 lines to a 'Pre-Digital' service?
No. While BT is offering a temporary Pre-Digital Phone Line (PDPL) during 2026 for basic users, this service is not compatible with ISDN2 or ISDN30 infrastructure. In addition, older on-site PBX (Business Telephone Systems) will not function on PDPL. For businesses using these systems, the only secure path forward is a migration to a fully hosted VoIP solution.
What is the difference between SoADSL, SoGEA and FTTP (Full Fibre)?
As the copper network is retired, traditional broadband is being rebranded and upgraded:
- SoADSL (Single Order ADSL): The oldest and slowest service, running solely on copper providing a number and an internet connection. With the migration towards the digital service, ADSL has now become SoADSL.
- SoGEA (formerly FTTC): A digital-ready hybrid connection using fibre to the street cabinet and copper to your premises. The digital migration has also rebranded FTTC to SoGEA.
- FTTP (Full Fibre): The holy grail of connectivity, delivering a 100% fibre connection directly to your building which offers speeds up to 1GB and the highest level of reliability for cloud-heavy operations.
Can we retain our business numbers if we move to 'Broadband Only'?
Yes. Many modern businesses are opting to remove the cost of traditional line rental entirely. You can opt for a data-only service and your existing business numbers can be ported or bundled as an internet-based number. This allows you to maintain your professional presence through a hosted VoIP service without the need for expensive, legacy physical hardware and maintenance.
